A creative home
Together with her husband Victor and their daughter, Emma lives in a home where every corner tells a story, and where colour choices are as much about feeling as they are about strategy.
– Colour is joy, emotion, and expression for me. It’s a powerful tool that can influence our well-being, set moods, and make a space more personal, says Emma.
Emma’s home is anything but ordinary. Here, flea market finds meet design classics, soft textiles blend with tactile surfaces – all within a constant flow of new ideas. Emma is driven by curiosity and a fearless approach that shapes her entire creative process. She rarely hesitates when a new idea emerges.
– I want people to feel welcome, inspired, and a little surprised when they step inside. It’s okay if something feels 'too much' – that’s when it gets fun!

Unexpected combinations that bring life
It’s clear that for Emma, colour isn’t about rules, but about rhythm, contrast, and daring to feel. She experiments – but always with a clear guiding thread.
Though each room in Emma’s home has its own character, there’s always an overarching idea – a carefully balanced colour palette that ties the whole space together. She often decorates based on feeling, but with a clear purpose: to create harmony without stifling creativity.
– It doesn’t have to match perfectly – sometimes, it’s the unexpected combinations that bring the most life.
The bedroom, with its deep purple walls, is a prime example of this. A choice that initially raised some eyebrows – but today, it’s one of the most cherished rooms in the home.

A future in colour
In Emma’s world, colour appears everywhere, even in the smallest details of daily life: a blue plate for lunch, a colourful glass for breakfast juice – or perhaps a pair of glittering earrings, just because it’s Wednesday.
– You can really lift your entire day with something as simple as a colourful detail. That’s how I bring in my sparkling moments – right in the middle of everyday life.
Right now, Emma is juggling life as a young parent with the realisation of her creative dream: Studio VoGårdh. Her own universe of interior design, creation, and art – where she’s free to create and inspire others to play with expression.
– I’m eager to go all in – but I also try to enjoy the present moment. It’s a fine balance, but I’m really excited to see what the future holds, both professionally and personally!
